My girlfriend and I spent a lot of time at Alum Creek this past summer. She never wears anything but a thong to the beach. We usually go the far south end but do stay on the beach area. There are a lot of people that still hang out in the grass area. Not many other women there but once in a while you will see one.

As for topfreedom, she has done it several times but still doesn't like to do it when there are little kids around. You do get a few gawkers, but she just rolls over and they usually walk on by.

We have never been harassed there but it would really be nice to see more people, especially women, use the beach area and enjoy the topfreedom that is allowed. The beach is nice, and it is quiet too.

Alum Creek State Park is about 15 miles north of Columbus, just off US23 (Follow signs). Although this is a very popular thong/topfree beach, the people showing more skin tend to group along the fence line in the grass at the far end of the beach. Many turn their chairs or arrange stuff in a way that they can hardly be seen from the edge of the water. While nobody has ever bothered me when I've gone topfree here, it seems somewhat odd being off in a separate area, and the lack of topfree women on the main beach sort of turned me off.

I've seen women, and even a few guys brave enough to wear their thongs on the central part of the beach, but never a topfree woman.

This beach gets a lot of publicity, both positive and negative, in the press and on the internet, but it has always been sort of a disappointment to me. I'd prefer going to almost any other Ohio state park than Alum Creek.
