Caberete (a town a little farther east of Sosua) has a lot of restaurants, bars and hotels along the beach -- a younger clientele there affects the topfree use and it seems to be determined by peer pressure. If one in a group of young people participates -- soon all do. The clientele is younger because windsurfing is a major draw (one of the best areas in the world for this sport). Since the road through Caberete is right off the beach, it is not uncommon to see from your car or bus numbers of women sitting at beach bars or walking from bar to bar topfree.
