In November, my wife and I were on a cruise with another couple. The ship stopped in St. Martin, and after shopping we went to Dawn Beach. The girls had been talking of going topfree, but were not sure. Anyway after a few minutes playing in the surf they took their tops off and spent the next two hours enjoying the sun, sand, and the water. There were a few others who were topfree as well. I guess about 10-20%. We had walked a little ways past where most of the chairs were set up to lay our towels down, but we were within easy visual distance. When others walked by, our wives did not feel overly scrutinized. As a matter of fact, my wife and I took a short walk and she was quite comfortable. Obviously, St Martin is a great place to be topfree. The girls even looked for other good opportunities during our trip, but never found one that was as good.

Dawn Beach is a terrific beach on the Dutch St. Martin side of the island. It also has some of the best snorkeling. Unfortunately, it is very popular with the passengers of the cruise ships. When we were there the beach was filled with (American) English speaking people and their kids. There was no one (not one) woman topfree on the entire beach.
