Recently, my wife and I went to Pulau Perhentian (An island East coast of Malaysia) for a 3 day short break. Being a Muslim country, toplessness is not allowed. Upon stepping onto the island, we found many Caucasian women topless. Everyday, you would find about four or five women topless at different times. It is a small place so you will probably see only 20 to 30 tourists on the beach at any one time. The locals seemed to have gotten used to it as they did not react much.

My wife was quite shy, only plucked up the courage to try on the second day. She felt wonderful, and wished we can spend a few more days there. She even went snorkeling along the beach topless. My wife is a local Chinese in Malaysia so naturally this drew a little more attention than the Caucasian women. But nothing was offensive; just a bit more of attention from the local men. Guess they have not seen many local women topless and in a thong.
