My husband and I went to St Martin this past August for a week. We went to Orient Beach and parked at Bikini Beach, named for the restaurant which has the chaise concession on that stretch of beach. As we were led to empty chaises I could see many women topless, so when we were settled I took off my top and put on sunscreen. After a while I decided to go for a swim and was going to just get up and go into the water when I saw a woman nearby putting on her top and going into the water. Then I saw a woman coming out of the water, go to a chaise and take off her top. It seemed that the woman that day were putting their tops on to go swimming in the water. This did not in any way detract from my topless experience. I noticed that day there seemed to be a large number of teens and tweens as part of families on the beach that day, who kept their tops on. In one case I saw a mother topless with two teen girls with tops on. The restaurant has rest rooms and changing rooms, so the fee for the chaises is also for service. We had a nice lunch and except for the couple of times in the water, I was topless the whole time.

My husband and I visited St. Martin in August 02 after stopping there on a cruise ship. We decided to visit Orient Beach because of its reputation as being topfree. While I did go topfree several years ago in St. Martin and Miami Beach, I am somewhat conservative and did not know if I would still be comfortable baring my breasts. Once we got there and found it to be about fifty/fifty for women without tops, I got my courage up and removed my bikini top. I didn't regret it for a minute. I had no qualms walking down to the water without my top. While most people are there to tan, there are always a few who are out to see naked women. While I was somewhat concerned a friend from the ship would walk by, I really have no problem with a stranger seeing my breasts on a public beach. I kept my top off the entire time, only putting it back on after I had walked back to the cab. All things considered a great trip, although I did feel somewhat constrained by my top the remainder of the cruise.

Me any my husband visited St. Martin in May. We were there for 4 days and spent most of our time at Orient Beach. I went topless for the 2nd time and wore a g-string for the 1st time on the beach. I felt very comfortable especially because 80% of the women were topfree. The first day I put my top on when I went into the water and my bikini bottom, but the next few days I went into the ocean in my g-string and topfree.

The only women around us who were wearing tops was a group of American women, although after a while one went topfree and the other took it off but covered her chest with a small towel.

You can see many topfree people on Orient beach, and in some of the restaurants on the beach. I can't think of a better topfree environment than Orient Beach, St. Martin. You can see women who are topfree with their kids, women with their boyfriends and husbands, and those who have been married for 40 years.

Wish we could get a little more used to being topfree in the good old USA.

My wife and I visited St. Martin during July. We spent most of our week at Orient Beach. Although we spent a few hours at the nude portion of the beach, most of our time was on the regular beach where topfree is relatively common. The first day my wife kept her top on. On the second day she took if off and sat in the beach chair. By the third day, she was walking the 2-mile long beach topfree.

I estimate that about 1/3 of the women are topfree on the beach and about 20% walk the beach topfree.

You will occasionally see topfree women in the beach bars that line some of the beach.

I can't think of a better topfree environment than Orient Beach, St. Martin.

I visited Orient Beach with my husband during a recent cruise. Orient Beach is divided unofficially into clothing optional and non-clothing optional. However, topfree bathing is common in both areas, obviously more so near Club Orient. We parked at Club Orient and I removed my bikini top, but keeping my thong on. On this side, I was almost overdressed but felt very comfortable. There are some gawkers, but they only look and don't say anything offensive. The only interaction I had with anyone on this side came when a vendor approached while I was lying on the beach. He didn't seem to mind when I sat up to tell him him I didn't want to buy anything. I walked over to the other side of the beach without putting my top on and encountered no difficulties. I did put my top on when I went to the vending booths which were somewhat removed from the beach, but I found out this was unnecessary. Overall, this was the best experience I've had sans top.

My wife and I celebrated our 20th anniversary in St. Martin on the French side. By the end of the week, my wife felt free to remove her top, this being on Orient Beach. I think if we stayed any longer, she would have felt uninhibited on other beaches since virtually all beaches in St. Martin are topfree. My wife also wore her thong freely despite her feeling inhibited in other vacation spots. The vacation was great and we fell in love all over again!

We lodged at a beach front hotel in Orient Beach, the St. Tropez. During all the time we spent there only a minority of American women (less than 10%) went breast covered. I even saw a topless waitress serving drinks and meals. One day a lady and her daughter seemed to be bothered by me sitting topless, but after two hours they felt comfortable and shed their tops.

I stayed all the time in just thong bottoms and did many thing like wind surfing, volley ball, ride on the banana boat, and even had breakfast and lunch in addition to much time spent laying on the beach.
