My girlfriend and I visited Rottnest Island whilst in Western Australia about November last year. The place is very deserted, with many beaches with maybe one or two other groups of people/couples. The weather in November in Australia is quite mild. You can cycle around the island to find your own private beach. We found several bays with soft sand and calm water to rest in.

My girlfriend went topless on all of the bays we settled. On seeing her going topless, most of the other women followed. She swam without her top on and spent the most part of day there lying on the beach topless without any problems.

Rottnest was very quiet and secluded, although I was told it can get very busy during the school holidays.

We found Australia to be generally accepting of topfreedom, often places that didn't have women already topless, would follow suit once my girlfriend took her top off.
