The Rouge River is about half way between Montreal and Ottawa. Drive to the small town of Hawksbury in Ontario and cross over the Ottawa River into Quebec. About 1k further go left on the next main road and watch for the rafting company signs. Soon after these signs you will cross over a bridge and you can park either on the left or the right. Walk back over the bridge and follow the trail up stream.

This area is beautiful, with many waterfalls and swimming holes and even some beach areas. Be careful if you go swimming, as there have been drownings. Topfreedom is quite normal and there are some very comfortable flat rocks for tanning purposes.

My wife felt quite comfortable going topfree around and below the seven sisters falls, but there was just too much activity from rafters above the falls. There are many nooks and secluded spots where even the most shy of sun bathers can have privacy. Quebec being a predominantly French province of Canada is far more accepting of topfreedom than most of North America and going topless is considered acceptable on most beaches and is seen quite often on French public TV.
