My girl friend and I have found a new place where we can enjoy top freedom with absolutely no hassles. It is a great alternative to the beach when the crowds at the beach make it tough to catch some rays without the life guards making you suit up(other than Blacks). There is an area in Presidio Park that is always empty, has a great view and other than a couple houses near by you have no idea you are in the center of town. Take the Taylor St. exit off Interstate 8 and go west 500 ft. Turn left and go up a very steep hill to a parking lot. Then walk up the big grassy hill. Once on top, take off your top. Enjoy a great spot that has sun when the beach is foggy. My friend Cindy and I have never had any problems.

San Diego still has a nude beach on the state section of Black's at Torrey Pines. However my g/f and I would sometimes get weary of the crowd there, so we began to search out other city beaches where she could at least be topfree. There are many small beautiful beaches in La Jolla where topfreedom is possible just be sure to stay well south of the Cove where most of the tourists are. Other good beaches for us were the coves along Sunset Cliffs. The place where we had the most luck getting other women to join is the north side of Tourmaline Beach in Pacific Beach, though a lack of sand can often be a problem. Basically if you're mellow and no one complains topfreedom is generally accepted on some beaches here, sorry I can't be more exact but it's kind of common sense intuition thing. Only on one occasion did someone complain, and that was at 'Wind 'n Sea' beach on a very busy day, her and a friend were egging each other on and they were running around and making a scene and a lifeguard very politely asked them to cover up. Other than that it's my understanding that many of the small Bed and Breakfasts and at least one major resort (the Catamaran) allow topfreedom on their grounds. Hope this helps.
