I spend the first week of October in Djerba ( Tunisia ) with my wife. She only wore thongs and was topfree all week long. Most of the time was spend along the beach and once in a while at the pool. Nobody seemed to bother or even seemed to care about how anyone is dressed.

Depending from day to day, about 20 to 50% of the women were topfree as well along the beach as the pool.I only saw one other woman wearing thongs. Even walking along the beach, sailing and surfing could be done topfree and wearing thongs without anyone staring or turning around. Nobody looked at us differently than any other people around us. It just felt like normal. We were very surprised to be so free. Tunisia being a Muslim country, we expected a few angry glances and certainly no walks out of the hotel beach like we did.
