I'm surprised no mention of Trearddur Bay (Anglesey) in the Wales section. My friends Wendy, Alison, Lynn and I are 30-somethings who visit often in summer and always wear thongs and go topless, in a TOTALLY relaxed ambiance. We feel quite at ease swimming and walking along the beach topless- most people there seem to be young(ish), many mixed groups and couples and kids. Always at least half a dozen or so other topless women around. No police interest that I've seen. It'll never happen in England but I feel in a situation where a man can go bare-chested, a woman should be able to go bare-breasted.
