I have just returned from my vacation in Varadero, Cuba with three of my girlfriends. It was my first experience to try monokini. One of my friends was the first to take off her top and the rest of us followed her. After a short time we were at ease to be topfree in the sun. We did not experience any problem from anyone. About half of the European women there were topfree so it is pretty normal in Varadero. We are going to go back again when we can.

My wife Sarah and I have just returned from 2 weeks in Varadero.

The beach is about 19km long with beautiful white sand shelving into the fantastic turquoise sea. Top free sunbathing is totally accepted as normal and women can enjoy this right without feeling uncomfortable.

My wife is used to topless sunbathing and only brought her top in case others were offended. Due to the relaxed attitudes she never needed more than a G-string while at the beach, the pool, or any of the outdoor bars. Some women even played top free tennis on the beach.

I would say 60% women were topless, 15% of whom wore G strings.

Just make sure you don't get burnt!

There is no problem going topless in Varadero. You can go for long walks and around the pool. There are many Europeans there who think nothing of it. I spent 2 weeks bare breasted except at dinner, just watch out for the sun, it is very strong. The local men will look and stare and enjoy the view. Local women do not normally go topless as it is against the law, but with tourists its OK. You can walk the beach or streets with a beer in your hands. In this land tourists are king. Enjoy!
